animation

[ Apr to May 2024: My last volunteer project ]

I first learned about the incredible art of Michelle Cheng (@Lemoncholy) when she presented at SJSU as a guest speaker while I was graphic designer on the SHM cabinet.

Then I said hello to her when she was tabling at LightBox 2023 and said that if she ever needed help on one of her films, I'd be happy to volunteer my efforts. A few months later she shared on her Instagram close-friends story that she was looking for animators, and of course, I offered to help :)

SJSU programmed me to ALWAYS animate on 1s or 2s, but Michelle asked me to use mostly 4s and sometimes 3s on this film. I learned that 3s are plenty in most cases and make animation more economical, especially for indie film making.
